MG has started exports of the Hector SUV to Nepal, and the carmaker plans to add more South Asian countries to the destination list soon.

In India, the Hector is available in four broad trims: Style, Shine, Smart, and Sharp, at prices ranging from Rs 13.5 lakh to Rs 19.35 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). It competes with the MG Astor, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Tata Harrier.

MG Hector Specifications

MG offers the Hector with two engine options: a 143PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 170PS 2.0-litre diesel. Transmission options are a standard 6-speed manual, a dual-clutch automatic, and a 8-speed CVT for the petrol variants. The turbo-petrol manual powertrain is also available with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The SUV is 4,655mm long, 1,835mm wide, 1,760mm tall, and has a 2,750mm wheelbase.

MG Hector Features

MG offers the Hector with features such as a 10.4-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, Infinity sound system, panoramic sunroof (Shine trim gets a single-pane sunroof), cruise control, automatic climate control, powered driver’s seat, and ambient lighting. It also gets ventilated front seats, keyless entry using smart key, push-button start, electric parking brake with auto hold, telescopic adjustment for the steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, and auto-dimming IRVM. Safety pack comprises six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control.
